About the 6th Settlement

The 6th Settlement is the newest urban addition to the eastern Cairo map, planned and managed by the New Urban Communities Authority under the supervision of the Ministry of Housing. With a total footprint of roughly 16,000 feddans — approximately 67.2 square kilometers — the district is nearly three times the size of the Hyde Park compound in the Fifth Settlement, and close to half the size of Madinaty.

The development timeline reflects the speed of execution: the New Urban Communities Authority officially named the district in 2023, and in February 2024 the former Minister of Housing Dr. Assem El Gazzar personally inspected the road and utility works on site — a clear signal of the strategic weight the state places on this project. The second half of 2024 through the first half of 2025 saw an unprecedented rush of major developers launching more than 13 residential and commercial compounds, while the Beit Al Watan land plots covering roughly 240 feddans were released to private buyers during 2025.
