Magna Developments chose the name M Plus | Work & Wonder to capture the project’s dual identity. The letter M references both the developer (Magna) and the concept of Modern, while Plus signals an experience that goes beyond the conventional commercial center. The tagline Work & Wonder ties together two pillars:

a professional working environment for tenants and shoppers, paired with a wondrous visual statement embodied by the 14-meter Bastet cat statue installed in front of the building. The building rises as a ground floor plus 9 upper floors on a total plot of 5,200 sqm. Magna distributed activities so that the ground floor and first floor are dedicated to retail units that benefit from maximum foot traffic, while the second through ninth floors are designated for administrative offices overlooking the internal plaza and the Green River.

The building footprint occupies only 30% of the total plot, with the remaining 70% dedicated to a 3,000 sqm plaza, landscape areas, and green spaces in front of the mall.

 

Magna has contracted Madar Company to manage and operate the administrative floors from the second to the seventh. Madar holds a strong operational record that includes Elsewedy Electric offices, Swan Lake project, and Abu Hashima Group’s office spaces. This partnership grants the M Plus investor a built-in operational guarantee from day one.

Additionally, Magna partnered with not toys, the sculpture specialist firm, to deliver a 14-meter statue of the ancient Egyptian goddess Bastet in front of the mall — the largest of its kind in the New Capital — creating a visual identity that is virtually impossible to replicate and multiplying foot traffic value for every unit inside.
